This privacy notice outlines the ways in which CKU Centre for Counselling and Therapy processes personal information provided to us by members of the public and clients.

All information we collect from our clients is request for the purpose of statistics and therapeutic process. This information we store is regularly updated and kept secure. We are working to follow the GDPR regulations with regards to the collection and management of this data.

We also keep and securely manage data of our supporters, volunteers and staff. These details will only be kept once each person who has ‘opted in’ and explicitly given us their permission to collect and keep their information on file. This information will be updated annually.

  1. Data Controller: The data controller responsible for processing personal data to the extent necessary for service provision is CKU Centre for Counselling and Therapy.

  2. Compliance with GDPR: CKU Centre for Counselling and Therapy processes personal data of Users or third parties indicated by the User in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Parliament and Council.

  3. Data Collection: Data is collected only to the extent necessary and required for the purposes for which it is processed. In the course of its operations, CKU Centre for Counselling and Therapy processes personal data concerning health in accordance with applicable laws, particularly the Patient Rights Act and the Ombudsman for Patient Rights.

If the data subject has given consent for their personal data to be processed for one or more specific purposes, they have the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

  8. Mandatory and Voluntary Data Provision: Providing data for purposes related to legal obligations is mandatory. In other cases, providing personal data is voluntary; however, not providing data marked as necessary will prevent the use of CKU Centre for Counselling and Therapy services. If data processing is required to perform a contract to which the data subject is a party, or to take action at the request of the data subject before entering into a contract, providing the necessary and specified scope of data is essential.
