Co-founder of CKU, psychologist, instructor of addictions in the certification process, secretary of Board of Directors of CKU, completed a 5-year master's degree in Clinical and Personality Psychology at the Higher School of Business - National Louis University, Graduate of the School of Addiction Psychotherapy Specialists and Addiction Therapy Instructors Care Brok, Graduate of the Addiction Therapy Studies at Dublin City College, Participant of cognitive behavioral therapy CBT courses, Participant of the Educational and Corrective Training/Program for perpetrators of domestic violence in the Duluth model, completed training in psychotherapeutic assistance for people addicted to gambling and other behavioral addictions. Participant of training in motivational interviewing at an advanced stage, and 5 Step Method. Facilitator of the SMART Recovery program. Member of the Addiction Counsellors of Ireland- MACI. Member of the Board of the SMART Recovery Polska Association. Until 2018 she held the role of Administration Coordinator. She regularly participates in conferences, seminars and trainings in Poland and Ireland. In CKU, in addition to her role as a manager, she conducts individual and group therapy, psychological counseling, psychoeducation, workshops, development training, support groups and crisis interventions. She is the organizer of many events promoting mental health and well-being for the Polish community in Ireland.
Barbara Ożga
Clinical Team Leader
Initiator and Co-Founder of CKU,educator, certified addiction psychotherapy specialist, a graduate of the Addiction Therapy Study at the Institute of Health Psychology of the Polish Psychological Association. She completed her master's studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, specializing in resocialization pedagogy. For two years, she participated in a psychoanalytic psychotherapy course accredited by the Scientific Section of Psychotherapy and the Scientific Section of Family Therapy of the Polish Psychiatric Association. She began her therapeutic work in 2009. She conducts individual, group, couple, and family therapy, as well as psychoeducation, workshops, and training sessions. In her work, she pays particular attention to the therapeutic relationship, which is a key aspect of the healing and development process in therapy. She utilizes various psychotherapeutic approaches and methods to gain a broader understanding of the service users and their individual needs. She has experience working with individuals struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, and those with the Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) and Adult Children of Dysfunctional Families (ACDF) syndromes. For several years, she has led an original psychoeducational and developmental group for women called "Between Us Women," focused on different areas of women's lives. She supports women and teaches them how to embrace their womanhood and not be afraid to be themselves. She undergoes supervision and regularly enhances her qualifications. She is an accredited member of Addiction Counsellors of Ireland (MACI). She is the coordinator of CKU until 2018. Currently, she works at CKU as the clinical team manager. She is also a friend of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).
Mariola Mastek
Psychologist, psychotraumatologist, and addiction psychotherapy specialist in the process of certification. She is a graduate of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS) in Warsaw and the School for Psychotherapy Specialists and Addiction Therapy Instructors in Brok. She has completed training internships at the Addiction Therapy Center at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw and the Addiction and Co-dependency Therapy Center in Działdowo. She is also a graduate of the Child and Adolescent Therapy Studies at the Lower Silesian Center for Psychotherapy. She is a member of Addiction Counsellors of Ireland (ACI), the Polish DBT Association, and the Polish Association for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
She has been affiliated with CKU since 2012 and is currently continuing her education and development at the School of Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy. She regularly participates in conferences, training sessions, and courses in both Poland and Ireland. She specializes in individual therapy, group therapy, and personal development workshops. She has experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and their families, as well as those dealing with anxiety disorders.
Marta Machnio Wielosz
Certified specialist of addiction psychotherapy, graduate of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, MA in Pedagogy, specializing in Social Work and Resocialization.
A graduate of the School of Addiction Psychotherapy Vis Salutis.
He worked as an addiction therapist at CKU in 2010-2014, and conducted individual and group therapy for addicts and semi-addicts at the Remedium Clinic in Ostrzeszów and PLU Multimed in Kalisz. In order to improve his skills and qualifications, he completed an internship at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology at the Addiction Treatment Department, as well as a clinical internship at the Psychiatric Center in Warta. In The CKU runs individual and group therapy, counseling and personal development workshops.
Bartosz Bąk
Pedagogue and systemic psychotherapist in training. A practitioner of Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapeutic approach that focuses on working with internal parts, such as the inner child, critic, perfectionist, and the part that adapts to the environment, among others. She conducts individual, group (DDA/DDD Syndrome), family, and couples therapy. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, uncontrolled anger outbursts, and difficulties in relationships with others and themselves.
She is also a parenting advisor, supporting parents through the process of raising children from the prenatal stage to adolescence. For several years, she has been leading workshops for parents. She regularly undergoes supervision for her therapeutic work.
In her therapeutic practice, she also incorporates her passion and knowledge of music, using it to address issues like bodily tension, the connection between body and emotions, and stage fright. Privately, she is a wife and mother of five children. She has been collaborating with the CKU since January 2020.
Katarzyna Kozłowska
Psychologist – a graduate of WSB – National Louis University in Nowy Sącz, specializing in clinical psychology and personality with a practical profile. She holds a master's degree with distinction, diploma number: 18005. She is a member of The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) number M14566 and the Polish Association for Dialectical Behavior Therapy (PTDBT). She is also a leader in the Family Connections program and a facilitator for SmartRecovery. She regularly expands her knowledge and skills by participating in training courses, continuing education, consultation teams, and scientific conferences in Poland and Ireland. She adheres to the principles of the Psychologist's Code of Ethics and supervises her work through peer supervision and the CKU team. She has been gaining professional experience since 2019.
At CKU, she works with adults, providing psychological support and assistance in areas such as anxiety, stress, sleep disorders, relationship difficulties, and everyday life challenges. She co-leads therapeutic groups, support groups, workshops, and social skills training sessions. As a trainer, she is particularly passionate about topics such as strengthening assertiveness, anger management and prevention of aggressive behaviors, communication skills that support relationships, cooperation and conflict resolution, mindfulness towards oneself and in relationships with others, emotional management, and minimizing the costs of stress. She also conducts comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnoses. She actively promotes mental health by organizing psychoeducational webinars and initiating social campaigns.
In her practice, she integrates various approaches, especially the humanistic approach, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. She focuses on key areas such as the therapeutic relationship, emotional bonds, spirituality, life values, and mindfulness practices. She emphasizes a holistic understanding of the person, strengthening their personal resources while considering their life context and individual experiences.
Marta Sędzicka
Psychologist, Certified psychotherapist from the School of Psychotherapy at the INTRA Centre for Psychological Help and Education in Warsaw, recommended by the Polish Psychological Association. He completed his master's degree at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS) with a focus on social psychology and social clinical psychology. He is a certified trainer in Aggression Replacement Training (AMITY ART). He began his therapeutic work in 2009 and has been working as a psychologist in the uniformed services for 14 years. He specializes in crisis intervention, adult psychotherapy, and training in psychoeducation and addiction prevention. In his therapeutic work, he emphasizes the relationship with the patient, combining various therapeutic approaches, primarily the humanistic-experiential approach and cognitive-behavioral therapy. He also employs breathing techniques and bodywork techniques. He regularly undergoes supervision in the integrative and Gestalt approaches. For many years, he has systematically participated in numerous internships, workshops, and training sessions for professionals, enhancing his skills as a psychotherapist, crisis intervention specialist, and trainer. He has professional experience in therapeutic work with adults experiencing psychological crises, behavioral disorders, depression, traumatic experiences, anxiety states, and with co-dependent individuals. Privately, he is a happy father and husband, a sports enthusiast, and a mountain lover.
